The Writers’ Federation of New Brunswick will hold its annual
WordsFall in St. Andrews, Saturday, October 15. Centered
around the theme “Write-by-the-Sea”, the event will feature an
activity-packed program of learning, reading, networking,
entertaining and book launching. "What's Your Story, Morning
Glory?" During this workshop, participants will learn
techniques to uncover the story within themselves, identify
and release blocks to their writing, as well as how to
overcome and prevent writer's block. The instructor is Sharon
Joseph of Master Book Publishing in Moncton. Cost for the
entire event, including all workshops and evening event, is
$40.

Featuring the watercolours of Simone Ritter. After coming
to St. Andrews form Germany in 2000 to open the 'Europa' Inn
and Restaurant with her husband Markus, Simone started to
paint in watercolour. Her paintings in bold colours are
inspired by the fresh ingredients used in the restaurant's
kitchen, the land and seascapes that feature God's wonderful
creation in the stunning natural beauty that surrounds us, and
the architecture of the Maritimes. As part of a new series,
Simone is painting lively abstracts with lots of movement.

Chef's 20/20/20 Market Madness

Imagine the chaos that can ensue as 4 young
chefs are given $20, 20 minutes to shop the Farmers’ Market
across the street and 20 minutes to prepare an appetizer that
will please a panel of discriminating judges. This
competition is sure to be one of the highlights of the Indulge
festival. Join us as we start on the porch at the
historic Kennedy Inn and send the chefs scurrying into Market
Square to forage for ingredients. Once they have
shopped, it is back to the porch, where you will have a
street-side view of all the action. 20 minutes later,
the judges will be called in to see which chef has made the
most of his or her 20/20/20 experience and award the
prize. Sponsored by New Brunswick Seafood.

institution here for more than 35 years, will be convening a
special fall market at Market Square, with many of the regular

We
invite you to visit the Fundy Discovery Aquarium to learn
about the world of wonder under the waves, and to see our two
seals ‘indulge’ in their passion for herring during their
twice-daily seal shows at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The aquarium is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday to Sunday in October and throughout the winter. In
addition to the seals, we have displays of rare lobsters, Bay
of Fundy fishes, two touch pools – one with smaller creatures
and another with skates – and more.
Until all of the exhibits are completed,
admission rates are reduced, and are $7 for adults, $6 for
seniors (65+) and $5 for children from 4 to 17.
